Then nothing came out from their mouths when Our torment came upon them but they said, 'we were unjust people.'
Their utterance when our retribution came to them was: "Indeed, we have been transgressors."
And when Our Might fell upon them they only said: 'We have indeed been harmdoers.
Yet their cry, when Our punishment came to them, was nothing but that they said: Surely we were wrongdoers
So their call/prayer when/if Our might/power came to them was not except that they said: "We were unjust/oppressive ."
The punishment came so fast upon them that they had only time to say: "How unjust we were."
Therefore they uttered nothing when Our punishment came to them, except that they said, "Indeed we were the unjust."
So when our punishment came upon them, their cry was nothing but they said, `We were indeed wrongdoers !
And when Our torment came upon them, their cry was nothing (else) but they began to say: ‘No doubt we were the wrongdoers.
So that their cry meant nothing when Our punishment came upon them except that they (apologisingly) said, `Truly we were wrong-doing people.
No cry did they utter when Our Torment came upon them but this: "Verily, we were Zalimoon (polytheists and wrongdoers, etc.)"
When Our punishment overtook them, they only said, “We were certainly sinners.”
Once Our might came to them, their appeal was merely to say: "We have been such wrongdoers!"
And when Our punishment fell upon them, all they could say was: “We have indeed been wrongdoers.â€
When Our torment came to them, their exclamation was no other than, “We were indeed wrongdoers.”
So their cry, when Our punishment came unto them, was not save that theysaid: ' Verily we were unjust'
When our anger was displayed in action, nothing did they say with pining regrets and vain repentance but: "we were wrongful of actions"
And when Our punishment came to them, their cry was nothing except that they said, "We were certainly unjust."
